Continuous improvement of the power grid implies knowing the grid characteristics in details. Having power grid monitoring technology helps you identify sources of energy consumption and times of peak consumption. This brings knowledge allowing easily allocating problems and reducing energy costs.
With that thought in mind we designed one flexible and highly configurable power grid monitoring platform that allows multiple hardware and software configurations. It measures and makes additional calculations of the electrical characteristics (current, voltage, phase angle, energy, frequency, etc.) of the power grid.
The major application area is monitoring of heavily loaded power grids and their components. This brings knowledge allowing easily allocating problems and reducing energy costs.
Building blocks
The MoniBee grid monitor devices are power monitoring tools that give sufficient information to commissioning engineers and operators to diagnose the system health thus making adaptation and improvement a continuous process.
Using the ZekaTrace™ and ZekaStream™ technology, you will be able to display the electrical characteristics and diagnose the health of the system with an unprecedented resolution for the industry. Only one such converter in your design is enough to change the way you commission the whole power plant.
Having numerous communication interfaces including Ethernet, RS485 and CANBus and utilizing Modbus, makes the integration with your industrial network an easy task. Profibus interface is also available using a Modbus-to-PROFIBUS Gateway. The integrated Modbus master allows different Modbus slaves to be attached to extend IO and functionality. The data can even be sent through analog outputs for further control, notification or visualization tasks.
